Atlético on away loss to Eibar at Ipurua Municipal Stadium on Saturday. Eibar faced the match with a desire to make up their league after losing 1-0 against Valencia while Atlético de Madrid won in their last two matches of the competition against Levante at home stadium, and Real Betis away, by 2-1 and 1-2 respectively. As of today, Eibar and Atlético de Madrid occupy position 16th (22 points) and 3rd (35 points) respectively after playing a total of 20 matches.

An impressive opening from Eibar, thanks to a goal from Esteban Burgos in the 10th minute, thereby seeing the first half to a 1-0.

Eibar took the lead in the second half, with a goal from Edu Exposito just before the end of the second half, which saw the second half to a 2-0.

At the end of the match, both teams made 3 substitutions each. For Eibar, Sebastian Cristoforo, Pablo De Blasis and Charles came on for Pedro Leon, Fabian Orellana and Sergi Enrich, while Atlético brought on Renan Lodi, Sergio Camello and Oscar Clemente to replace Hector Herrera, Joao Felix and Vitolo.

The referee booked Esteban Burgos from Eibar, while for Atlético de Madrid Saul Niguez and Stefan Savic saw a yellow card as well.
