Team GB’s goalball coach Knut Karsawe is “very confident” the team will get the go-ahead to compete in their home Paralympics, despite his side finishing fifth and last at the London International Tournament.

A decision on the host-country slots for the men and women has been deferred until February by the British Paralympic Association, but Team GB’s Jessica Luke says the 2009 European champions used the opportunity “to experience the venue” and “feel what it will actually be like to be representing Great Britain in front of a home crowd”.
